Yes, this is a road. It was washed out a while ago, during a big storm (i believe it was during that big windstorm we had back in Dec 06). needless to say, the salmon now cross that road. Behind the sandbard there is a raging river over buckled pavement, but couldnt get the shot I wanted. Come next summer, I'll hike this road and fully document the damage (assuming it won't be fixed yet).

I've been having doubts in submitting this photo, so let me know what you think, still might move to scraps.
Its like you have all these really solid hard perspective lines in a picture from the road and then half of it is erroded and broken by the abstract shapes of the waterfall
I really like this shot but there just seems to be something missing... not quite sure what though. Try playing with the channel mixer in monochrome. I think you can get some good stuff out of it
